Вобщем маршрут был Катманду — Лукла, после того, как он не смог сесть в Лукле по погодным, стал возвращаться обратно в Катманду, но там тоже аэропорт закрылся и его отправили в Simara Airport (VNSI)
упал, не долетев до Симара около 30 км.
Sources say, the plane had encountered a technical failure in addition to the difficulty due to bad weather. According to reports, the pilot had reported generator failure en route to Lukla and decided to return, but the backup generator also later failed. Generator failure would mean the plane would have lost its cockpit avionics and would be effectively flying blind in rugged terrain and bad weather. It was going to Simara airport after Kathmandu airport, too, was closed when it returned from Lukla.
The crash site is located about 15 miles south of Kathmandu and at an altitude of 9,000 ft.
Местные рассказывают:
Locals of Makawanpur told that the plane crashed into a field in Shikharpur village, which lies south west of Kathmandu, at around 7:30.
“The plane remains broken into pieces in the field right next to a school building,” Pratap Lama, a local said.
“The human bodies also remain in pieces … we are just shocked.”
He added, “There was no big noise or any fire that we noticed before the crash.”
