Yakutat (ICAO: PAYA) is a public airport located three miles (~5 km) southeast of the city of Yakutat in Alaska, United States.The airport is publicly operated by the state of Alaska Department of Transportation.
The airport is serviced by Alaska Airlines, Alsek Air Service, Yakutat Coastal Airlines, and other small local airlines. Between October and May the airport is blanketed with snow, and runway 2/20 along with it’s associated taxiways are closed to aircraft. During the summer months it receives most of its traffic in the form of fisherman flying to Yakutat to catch Alaskan salmon.
