Altay Airport (IATA: AAT, ICAO: ZWAT) is a Chinese airport serving the city of Altay, 
seat of the prefecture of the same name located in the Sinkiang Province and Autonomous Region,
 located about 7 km south-southwest from the its center.

The structure, located at an altitude of 750 m / 2 460 ft above sea level, is equipped with a terminal,
 a control tower and an 11/29 orientation airstrip, with a concrete floor, 1 750 long m by 45 m wide 
(5 741 x 148 ft).

The airport, operated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), operates under IFR rules
 and is open to commercial traffic.
