--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        1. Introduction:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The panel is your virtual cabin crew that will take care of your passengers in flight. It consists of two parts - 2D Pax Sign
Panel and the crew, which announcements are made automatically, depending on the current stage of the flight. The panel is based
on the Doug Dawson's XML Sound Gauge. Supports FS9, FSX, and all versions of P3D including v4.0 and higher. Comes with American
Airlines CrewPack.

	o Automatic Messages
	o GSX / AES Compatible
	o Pushback Panel v3.0 Ready
	o Turnaround Ready
	o ATC Chatter
	o Brake Sound FX
	o Emergency Mod
	o Over 50 Sound FX

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        2. Installation and Removal:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        Installation

2.1 To install the panel start the program SETUP.exe. Choose either option FS9/FSX/P3D2/P3D3 or P3D4 (and higher). Follow the
instructions of the installation program.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If the installation program is unable to detect your flight simulator folder choose it manually.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The program will install the necessary gauges and sounds.

2.2 Choose an aircraft this panel will be used with.

2.3 Configure the panel.cfg of your aircraft as follows:

a. To install 2D Pax Sign Panel add the line in the section [Window Titles] as follows:

Window**=Pax Sign Panel

 ** - a sequence number of the panel installed in the Instrumental Panel menu;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The 2D Pax Sign Panel switches are not linked with the cabin crew part of FS Announcement Panel v3.0. The 2D panel itself
is just designed for those airplanes where pax sign switches are not animated as well as for using Pushback Panel v3.0. Thus if
you have working pax sign switches and you do not plan using the Pushback Panel v3.0 there is no need to install the 2D panel.
You can go directly to d. of this section.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

b. Add the following string to [Window00] section to install the 2D panel icon:

gauge**=HarrierFSAP3.0!Harrier_FSAP3.0_Icon,  aaa,bbb,12,12

        ** - a sequence number of the gauge, & bbb - are the coordinates for 2D Pax Sign Panel
        Icon on your aircraft's main panel and 16,16 (or 12,12) is the icon size in pixels;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: For P3D4 Airbus A319 by Aerosoft there is a pre-set Panel.cfg with FS Announcement Panel v3.0: AUTOMATIC that can
be downloaded here:

https://aviasimulator.blogspot.com/2019/03/panelcfg-for-p3d4-airbus-a319-by.html

The icon is placed at the MCDU panel. It is also set up for using Pushback Panel v3.0 (see section 3.4 of 3. Technical
Information).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

c. Add the 2D panel window section (see a.) after the last default [WindowXX] section of your aircraft:

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window**]
Background_color=16,16,16
size_mm=303,175
windowsize_ratio=0.300
position=7
visible=0
ident=33333331
window_size= 0.165, 0.165
window_pos= 0.710, 0.050

gauge00=HarrierFSAP3.0!Harrier_FSAP3.0,  1,1,299,173

     ** - a sequence number of the panel;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you use Pushback Panel v3.0 along with FS Announcement Panel v3.0, you have to disable the Brake
Sound FX built into the Pushback Panel since FS Announcement Panel v3.0 has its own. This can be done by
disabling the following gauge in the Pushback Truck Switch Panel as follows:

//gauge02=Harrier_pushback3!BrakeSound, 0,0

You can also do this by installing the Brake Sound Mute / Unmute Patch, which can be downloaded here:
https://aviasimulator.blogspot.com/2019/02/brake-sound-mute-unmute-patch-for-fs.html

Some aircraft models have a built-in brake sound and if both sounds create an unwanted effect, you can
use this patch to disable the Brake Sound FX of FS Announcement Panel v3.0.

The patch can also enable back the Brake Sound FX if necessary. See the patch manual (not included in
the package).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

d. Add the following strings to [Vcockpit01] section:

gauge**=HarrierFSAP3.0!HarrierFSAP3.0, 2,2,2,2
gauge**=HarrierFSAP3.0_Crew!sound, 2,2,3,3,./Sound/HarrierFSAPSounds/3.0/AAL/HarrierFSAP3.0.ini

        ** - a sequence number of the gauge;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

e. Save your panel.cfg file;

2.4 See 4. Instructions of Usage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

            REMOVAL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.5 Run UninstallFSAP3.0.exe or UninstallFSAP3.0_P3D4.exe from within the main FS9/FSX/P3D folder or from the Programs Menu.

2.6 Open in the notepad the panel.cfg file of the aircraft you used the panel with and follow the steps in the 2.3 section of
this manual to delete the entries you added during the installation.

2.7 Save your Panel.cfg file.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        3. Technical Information:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.1 Crew announcements are made automatically, depending on the current phase of the flight. Some of the announcements depend on
the flight plan. Do not forget to create and save it. The flight plan can be changed (cruise level, route, etc.) or created /
loaded at any stage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If your plane has a built-in cabin crew it is strongly recommended to disable it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.2 Upon arrival at the destination airport when the doors are closed after disembarking the crew will be ready again for the
next flight. You can make as many flights without closing the simulator as you like. This is also true for Emergency Mod - after
the aircraft inspection and repairs the crew will be at your service again.

3.3 There are two types of Emergency Mod in FS Announcement Panel v3.0: AUTOMATIC. The first is damage or failure which requires
you to make an emergency landing. The second is rejected takeoff. In the first case the failure is real. In the second it is
simulated. In both cases you have to evacuate the PAX then the plane should be inspected and repaired. After a technician
reports repairs done the aircraft and crew will be ready for the next flight. See 4. Instructions of Usage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: In Emergency Mod failure occurs under certain conditions while rejected takeoff can be made at your will any time during
the takeoff phase.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.4 Boarding as well as disembarking and evacuation in Emergency Mode is controlled by opening / closing the doors. Boarding or
disembarking starts once the doors open and ends when the doors are closed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: To start boarding / disembarking the airplane should be powered up and the parking brake set.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.5 Boarding is accompanied by boarding music that consists of two parts divided by welcome message with carry-on bag placement instructions. When the doors are closed boarding sounds stop and the crew proceeds to the next stage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: On your next flight when boarding starts after opening the passenger doors the music will start playing from the part that
follows the fragment that played when the doors were closing on the previous flight. That means if it was the first part then
when you open the doors for boarding it will be the welcome / carry-on bag placement message followed by the second music
fragment and so on.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.6 2D Pax Sign Panel is designed in the Boeing 727 style. It has 'Fasten Seatbelts' and 'No Smoking' switches as well as cabin
attendant and ground crew call buttons. Also you can close the 2D panel if you click on the blue indicator lamp.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: The ground call button can be used to open Pushback Panel v3.0 that has to be pre-installed and configured. Pushback Panel
v3.0 can be downloaded here:

https://aviasimulator.blogspot.com/2019/02/pushback-panel-v30-for-fs9-fsx-p3d3.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.7 ATC Chatter is assigned to COM 2 Radio frequencies 118.00 MHz - 118.55 MHz. When the frequency you tuned into is changed the
current ATC chat stops. If you tune into the frequency again the ATC chat will resume from where it left off playing the last
time. See section 4.8 of 4. Instructions of Usage.

3.8 In the event of crash you will hear an impact sound FX that works for most models.

3.9 The sound FX volume settings can be adjusted in the HarrierFSAP3.0.ini crewpack file in the range from 0 - normal volume to
-10000 - minimum.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

        4. Instructions of Usage:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.1 BOARDING

	a. To start boarding open the passenger door. See section 3.4 of 3. Technical Information;

	b. Close the doors when boarding is completed. Wait for a flight attendant announcement 'Doors to AUTOMATIC' to proceed with
	   pushback;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.2 TAKEOFF

	a. Set the parking brake at the RUNWAY holding point. When cleared for takeoff set the flaps into the takeoff position if
	   they have not been set before. Release the brake. Turn on strobe lights and landing lights.

	b. Take off after the flight attendant's ready for takeoff announcement;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: If you turn on landing lights on the runway wait until the end of the ready for takeoff announcement to start the
	takeoff run.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.3 CLIMB

	a. Approximately 5,500 feet below an assigned cruising altitude turn off the 'fasten seatbelt' signs (and 'No smoking' if
	   necessary). Prepare in advance since the announcement you have turned OFF the signs will sound at about 5,000 feet below
	   the cruising altitude;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.4 DESCENT

	a. Approximately 5,500 feet below the cruising altitude turn on the 'fasten seatbelt' signs (and 'No smoking' if necessary).
	   Prepare in advance since the announcement the signs are ON will sound at about 6,000 feet below the cruising altitude;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: For American Airlines CrewPack turn the pax signs on after the starting descent announcement.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.5 LANDING

	a. Set the flaps and gear down for landing according your approach pattern and aircraft flight manual. To hear the ready for
	   landing announcement the landing lights should also be ON. Plan your landing so that the announcement ends before crossing
	   the runway threshold;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: To hear the ready for landing announcement the flaps have to be at least in position 2.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	b. Having vacated the runway retract the flaps and turn off the landing lights. When you first apply the brakes during taxi
	   (for example to give way to other aircraft) if the ground speed before applying brakes exceeded 10 knots you will hear an
	   announcement for passengers to be seated until the aircraft has come to a full stop;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.6 DISEMBARKING

	a. At the arrival gate set the parking brake for the announcement 'Doors to MANUAL' and shut down the engines;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: If necessary you can disarm the doors before the gate during taxi. Just set the parking brake once and continue taxi.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	b. Make sure an airstair, aircraft ladder, or jetway is docked with the aircraft before opening the passenger doors for
	   disembarking. When all passengers leave the airplane close the doors. See section 3.4 of 3. Technical Information. After
	   the message all passengers left the airplane the crew will be ready for turnaround and the next flight;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.7 EMERGENCY MOD

	a. If the assigned cruising altitude is not reached and you start the descent then at about 3,000 feet AGL there will be
	   a failure. What kind of failure? Well let it be a surprise as in real aviation! Take action as recommended by your aircraft
	   QRH and your experienced and trained crew will help to calm down the panicking passengers;

	b. Plan your landing at the nearest airport. Set the responder to emergency Mode A Code 7700. After landing evacuate the pax
	   by opening the passenger doors. When the evacuation is complete close the doors. After a technician reports repairs done
	   the aircraft and crew will be ready for the next flight. See sections 3.3 and 3.4 of 3. Technical information;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: For beginners and those who are too lazy to look it up in the QRH there is Emergency Mod QRH by Harrier Panels with
	step-by-step instructions and recommendations that can be downloaded here:

	https://aviasimulator.blogspot.com/2019/02/emergency-mod-quick-reference-handbook.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	c. If for some reason you decide to abort takeoff you will enter Emergency Mod type 2 - Rejected Takeoff in which as in type
       1 (see a.) you have to act according to your QRH and evacuate the passengers. After the aircraft inspection and repairs
	   the aircraft and crew will be ready for the next flight. See sections 3.3 and 3.4 of 3. Technical information;

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

		4.8 ATC CHATTER

	a. Use your COM2 radio to tune into a certain ATC frequency. The list of the assigned frequencies includes:

	   		 Approach (departure airport - AM) - 118.0 MHz

	   		 Approach (departure airport - PM) - 118.05 MHz

	   		 Tower (departure airport - AM) - 118.10 MHz

	   		 Tower (departure airport - PM) - 118.15 MHz

	   		 Approach (destination airport - AM) - 118.25 MHz

	   		 Tower (destination airport - AM) - 118.50 MHz

	   		 Tower (destination airport - PM) - 118.55 MHz

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
	NOTE: The default ATC sound pack includes 2 US airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport (IATA: JFK - ICAO: KJFK) - the
	departure airport and Boston Logan (IATA: BOS - ICAO: KBOS) - the destination airport.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

	b. Sound files for your specific flight can be downloaded at LiveATC website:

       https://www.liveatc.net/

       The downloaded files should be converted to WAV then renamed and moved to overwrite files in the ATC folder located at:
	   YOUR SIMULATOR\Sound\HarrierFSAPSounds\3.0\ATC

       File 21_Harrier_FSAP_Dep_App_AM.wav corresponds to the frequency 118.0 MHz, etc. See also section 3.7. of 3. Technical
