Dolomynum Sector Converter by Gergely Kosa

Converts sector boundaries to Dolomynum format. You can use sector files of ATC clients (IvAc, ASRC, VRC, ProController), or Servinfo / IvAe data files. Please be advised that contents of such files might be copyrighted. The author of Dolomynum and the Dolomynum Sector Converter cannot be held responsible for any copyright violation that might result from using this tool.

Usage: select the input type and browse for a suitable file, then click on Convert; the results of the conversion will appear as firlist.dat and firdisplay.dat (overwriting any older file in the folder). You can view these with sectorview.exe and use them to update or replace Dolomynum data (paste the relevant sections in its main data files). Please make sure that there are no duplicate codes and display list IDs in your data files; edit the lines manually if necessary. You might also want to set the correct names and countries in firlist.dat.

Converting sector files: sconv will extract the shapes from the specified section (for example ARTCC, ARTCC HIGH). If the result is not what you expected (or there is an error), try editing manually the sector file to eliminate formatting problems. You can use the sconv_sample.sct file to test this function and to view what is considered the optimal sct formatting for the converter.

Converting Servinfo/IvAe data: sconv will create complete, ready-to-use firlist.dat and firdisplay.dat files; but you should be aware that these might be outdated, incorrect, or contain IVAO/VATSIM-specific data only. It is recommended to use them only to update Dolomynum files, not to replace them.

If you created up-to-date data files and wish to offer them to the community, please send them to the author of Dolomynum so they can be included in the next update.
