USE OF THIS PAINTKIT

You may use this paintkit to create repaints only for the particular aircraft model it was designed for.

You may not use this paintkit to create a new paintkit, for this or any other model, or to use elements provided with this paintkit on different models other than the one that it was designed for. (This includes different aircraft in the same series) Note that this is in no way a restrciction on your making needed changes for a particular repaint, such as different door/engine markings, weathering etc.

If you find this paintkit to be poorly made and inaccurate, we encourage you to make your own superior paintkit. However, you do not have permission to use any elements from this paintkit in the creation of your new paintkit.

To help you out in creating your own paintkit, we have provided a wireframe bmp with which you can use as a base for laying out your own paintkit. You will find this wireframe bmp in the "BuildYourOwnPaintkit" folder.

Any uploaded repaint that we find has violated any of these rules we will have removed at our discretion.

Also, for you really dense individuals out there who just can't help from grabbing models, repaints and flightplans that you know you do not have permission to use and then uploading your airline packages, you're going to rot in a special hell where you'll be forced to spend an eternity playing with FS98 on a 233mhz computer. This means you, David Hays, Adobe, Tantris, etc and the rest of your kind out in FS Land.

>>>>>>>>READ THIS!!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<

***IMPORTANT NOTE, SO PAY ATTENTION AND READ CAREFULLY!!!***
This model comes with 3 different variations, all having to do with various wingtip options, 2 of which are very difficult to tell apart:

"N" variation (Normal) There is small pipe/stick/thing with a white nav light on it protruding from the trailing edge of the wingtip.

"L" variation (Logo Light) There is a much larger stream lined pod off the trailing edge of the wingtip which contains the lights that illuminate the tail as well as the white nav light that the "N" model has.

"W" variation (Winglet) Wingtip has a large blended winglet as well as the small light-on-a-stick that the "N" model has.

The Normal and Logo Light models are very difficult to tell apart because their distinguishing features are quite small when looking at the entire aircraft. (See "A Word about logo lights" below for more information on why we included both versions)

REALLY IMPORTANT PART!!! >>>Because of the slightly different locations of the wingtip nav lights, (which are positioned in the aircraft.cfg file) you CANNOT combine Normal, Logo Light, and Winglet models and textures into the same aircraft folder. Normal repaints, Logo Light repaints and Winglet repaints MUST be in SEPARATE aircraft folders. i.e. "AIA_737_300_v2_Normal", AIA_737_300_v2_LogoLight", and "AIA_737_300_v2_Winglet" folders.

A WORD ABOUT LOGO LIGHTS:
We've all gotten used to seeing the tails of all our major airliners lit up at night, but many real life 737-300's do NOT have logo lights for the tail. United Airlines and Southwest Airlines are just 2 examples of major airlines that do NOT have tail logo lights on their 737-300's. The only 737-300's that have a tail logo light are those with a special pod mounted on the trailing edge of the wingtip which contains the actual lightbulb and lens that illuminates the tail of the aircraft. (This is what we are calling the Logo Light model) Painters need to be aware of this when creating lightmaps for their repaints. The ONLY repaints that should have an illuminated tail are those that are going to be used with the Logo Light model. Normal and Winglet equipped models do NOT have tail logo lights.

Note that the actual model itself has no special feature that will make a logo light visible or invisible. That is controlled by the lightmap, which is created by the painter.

So painters, please take a moment and make sure that the actual aircraft you are painting has the Logo Light pod out on the wingtip before you add an illuminated tail to your repaint.

Use this paintkit for the Boeing 737-300v2 by AI Aardvark. Base model file name: 'aia733v2.zip'

Instructions for installing and using the base model is included in the base model.
NOTE: The base model will not show up in the aircraft selection menu because of a modification to the aia_737_CL.air file. If you know how you can modify the .air file yourself. If not, just use the .air file included with this package in place of the original .air file.
