AC680S Known Problems See http://www.flightsimonline.com/commander for Current Details, FAQ's, Known Problems, Repaint Information, and more.

Pre-Release Versions prior to 6/23/03 and Final Release Versions after 6/23/03

1. Throttle sync issues: After starting individual engines, throttles are not sync'ed or only one engine throttle is active.
Use FSUIPC HOTKEYS to assign one key to re-sync the throttles. It works beautifully.

2. Lights not controlled by the "L" key: The typical use of the "L" key is negated so that realistic navigation lights options can be available. Early Commanders had no strobe lights so the nav lights had an option to flash and remain on steady. Use the individual overhead switches to control the lights.

3. For the pre-release version (prior to 6/23/03) Yaw Left on Takeoff is too strong?: Download the .air file from the support website for your version. Copy/paste it to your AC680S1 or AC680SV folder. This was corrected in the final release on 6/23-24/03.

4. Radios Controlled by ATC or External Programs: If you prefer this option over the authentic setup, you can download a panel.cfgs for those changes. This change will negate radio control from the panel and require you to use the pop up radio for frequency changes, or through external programs like ATC or FSnavigator.

For the final-release versions, these panel.cfg's are in your panel folder. For the pre-release versions, download the panel.cfgs below for your version of the aircraft. Replace your current panel.cfgs with these listed.

If you have the AC680S1 NO-VC Commander, use these files:
NO-VC version-IKE Panel: see support website
NO-VC version-Pegasus Panel: see support website

If you have the AC680SV VC Commander, use these files:
VC Version-IKE Panel: see support website
VC Version-Pegasus Panel: see support website

5. The aircraft sometimes tips backwards coming out of "Push Back" mode: If you use pushback for the Commanders, change the aircraft.cfg [weights] section to read as follows:
station_load.0=200.000, 5.500, -1.100, -1.000 //pilot
station_load.1=200.000, 5.500, 1.100, -1.000 //copilot

6. When starting the #2 engine from the Spot view, sound is not heard: That is correct. No sound will be heard and maybe Aaron Swindle will ultimately provide an update for us. Meanwhile, start engine #1 first and you will not experience the issue.

7. Radio Switches: The MKR switch is NON-Operative however it can be set on the pop-up radio. The COM1 and COM2 Switches may or may not work depending on the panel used. Use the pop-up radio for assured settings. As the Commander pilots said, "There's always something not working up there."

8. ATC Recognizing the Aircraft: Add the following statements to the aircraft.cfg [General] section:
atc_type=ROCKWELL
atc_model=AC680
This is for the pre-release versions only. This change was incorporated in the final release.
