Небольшая модернизация штатного Douglas DC-3 послевоенных авиалиний. Самолёт получил бортовой транспондер, радиодальномер и автопилот, обеспечивающий автоматическое выдерживание линии маршрута и высоты полёта; кроме того, двигатели обзавелись новыми карбюраторами и системой зажигания, что позволило на треть увеличить дальность полёта. Что же касается взлётно-посадочных характеристик, то могу смело сказать, что Douglas DC-3 на аэродромах с превышением НУМ до 610 метров (2000 футов) равен более лёгкой Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, только пилоту требуются немалое хладнокровие и умение держать глиссаду на скорости 80 узлов. Безопасный взлёт производится с закрылками в позиции Flaps 1/2 и триммированием РВ в положение +5,5 градусов - это позволяет тяжёлой машине оторваться на Vприб = 80 узлов и сразу же перейти в набор высоты с вертикальной скоростью 700 - 1000 фт/мин; сам набор высоты осуществляется с убранными закрылками, шасси и давлением наддува 40 дюймов ртутного столбика при достижении Vприб = 105-110 узлов. Для установки сначала распакуйте содержимое папки Gauges в корневую папку Gauges Вашего MSFS-2004, а потом замените папку штатного DC-3 в папке Aircraft на новую папку DC-3.Пусть Ваши полёты на этой Легенде Большого Неба будут комфортными и безопасными!
